Mariners Announce 2023 Opening Day Roster

Roster Finalized After Spring Training Competition

Seattle Mariners Set to Begin Regular Season on March 30th

The Seattle Mariners have released their final 2023 Opening Day roster, following a competitive spring training camp. The roster includes a mix of veteran players and promising prospects, and the team is confident they have the talent to compete for a playoff spot in 2023.

One of the biggest storylines this spring was the competition for the starting shortstop position. Rookie Noelvi Marte emerged as the frontrunner during camp, and he will be given the opportunity to start on Opening Day. Marte is a highly-touted prospect who is known for his speed and defensive skills. He will be counted on to provide a spark at the top of the Mariners' lineup.

Another key addition to the Mariners' roster is veteran outfielder Teoscar Hernandez. Hernandez was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays, and he is expected to be a key part of the Mariners' offense in 2023. Hernandez is a power hitter who is coming off a season in which he hit 25 home runs and drove in 77 runs.

The Mariners will open the 2023 season on March 30th at home against the Chicago White Sox. They will then embark on a nine-game road trip before returning to Seattle on April 10th to face the Los Angeles Angels.
